To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the 48th anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and Seychelles, the first China Film Festival in Seychelles is being held from September 15th to the 20th in Victoria, the country’s capital.
At the opening ceremony of the festival on the evening of September 15th, Ms. Lin Nan, Chinese Ambassador to Seychelles, said that over the past 48 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, the two countries have achieved tangible results in various fields, especially in cultural exchanges. She expressed the hope that Seychellois friends would learn more about Chinese customs, history, culture, and social development through the festival, and that cultural exchanges and cooperation would go even further in the future.
